FINALLY – we’re making our way over to NYC with some Papervision goodness!

I’m going to come to the San Francisco one, although first I’m trying to see if my employer might pay for it (hopefully they will).

    Papervision 3D is rad.

    Hi John,

While I wait to find out if my employer will pay for your SF class or not…

The examples are mainly EnterFrame animations and not Timer based ones. Is that what is basically recommended for most Papervision 3D animations?

    Thanks in advance

  4. There’s nothing implied 🙂

Some have said that using EnterFrame with a tween engine is slower for some reason. Most of the time, I use the Timer object as that allows me to throttle animations if I need to

Quick question.. ive heard so much about papervision, but i yet had a chance to actually use it.. is the NY workshop for beginners? or i need some kind of experience already?

  5. @otto: You don’t need to have PV3D experience. You need to be familiar with actionscript and Flash in general however, but we’ll go from the ground up so to speak. The classes are packed and we move at a fairly good pace so that we keep everyone interested throughout the 2 days

    hope to see you there!

  6. awesome! can’t wait man, we’ve got some new stuff we’re bringing to this class too that only the attendees will have access to until it’s officially released (no, not 2.0, that’ll be released ) – something we’ll blog about in a few days when we know for sure
